1. About Meaven

Meaven (“we”, “us”, “our”, “Meaven”) is a Dhaka-based online store selling premium men’s formal accessories, including ties, cufflinks, tie clips, lapel pins, and pocket squares, through our website www.meavenbd.com (the “Site”). By browsing the Site or placing an order, you (“customer”, “you”) agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Eligibility & Orders

• Guest checkout is available; you are not required to create an account to order.
• By placing an order, you confirm you are at least 18 years old, or that an adult is placing the order on your behalf.
• An order is only confirmed once Meaven verifies it (typically by phone/SMS/WhatsApp). Meaven may decline or cancel any order it reasonably suspects to be fraudulent, mistaken, or unverifiable.
• Product photos are for illustration. Minor variations in color or finish (e.g. due to screen display or dye lot) may occur and do not on their own qualify an item as defective.

3. Pricing & Payment

All prices are listed in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Meaven currently accepts:

• Cash on Delivery (COD)
• Mobile Financial Services (bKash, Nagad, Rocket)
• Card payment and bank transfer

Meaven reserves the right to correct pricing errors and to update prices at any time without prior notice; a price change will not affect an order already confirmed.

4. Pre-Orders

• Pre-order items require a minimum advance payment of 10% of the order value at the time of booking.
• An advance above 10% (up to 100%) may only be collected where the item is ready to ship and can be handed to the delivery agent within 48 hours of payment, in line with applicable digital commerce rules. For made-to-order or restocked items that cannot ship within 48 hours, the advance is capped at 10% unless paid through an approved escrow arrangement.
• If you cancel a pre-order without a valid reason, a portion of the advance is retained per the fixed schedule in Section 5. If Meaven cancels or cannot fulfil the order, you receive a full refund. See the Refund Policy for details.

5. Order Cancellation

You may cancel an order free of charge at any time before Meaven begins processing it. Orders are typically processed within 6–12 hours after they are placed, although processing may begin earlier. Once processing has started, the following fixed cancellation schedule applies:

• Processing started, not yet packaged: 10% of order value retained
• Packaging complete, not yet handed to courier: 25% of order value retained
• Handed to courier / dispatched: 50% of order value retained

This schedule applies equally to pre-order advance forfeitures under Section 4. It does not apply where the cancellation is due to a Meaven-side delay, error, or defect — in that case you are entitled to a full refund regardless of processing stage. See the Refund Policy for payment timelines.

6. Shipping & Delivery

• Meaven currently delivers within Bangladesh only.
• Estimated delivery timelines are shared at checkout or by our team; these are estimates, not guarantees, and may be affected by courier delays, weather, or circumstances outside our control.
• Please inspect your order in front of the delivery agent before accepting it — see the Return Policy.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including the Meaven name and logo, product photography, descriptions, and design — is the property of Meaven and may not be copied, reproduced, or used commercially without our written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

Meaven is not liable for delays or failures caused by courier partners, payment gateways, MFS providers, or events beyond our reasonable control. Our total liability for any order is limited to the value of that order.

9. Complaints & Dispute Resolution

• Any complaint about an order, delivery, payment, refund, or replacement can be raised via phone, WhatsApp, or email using the contact details below.
• Meaven logs every complaint received and aims to communicate a resolution or status update within 72 hours.
• If a complaint cannot be resolved directly with Meaven, you may escalate it to the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP), Bangladesh.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dhaka.

11. Changes to These Terms

Meaven may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
